Everything from Iconique this season is based on one simple unifying look, Bohemian chic. This blouse, entitled Malaga, is a fine example of this. With loose sleeves that are great for the warm months, to the deep plunging neck and tie front that are so popular in classic folk garments, to lace and tessellating patterns. All these elements are found in the Malaga design, and are found in the wilds of Eurasia too. Boho chic originated in Central Europe and takes inspiration from traditional garments of the Medieval communities there, but it goes back further, taking cues from Ottoman, Caucasus and the Silk Road from Europe to China. It is a rich and varied design, and there is a little bit of each of these cultures to be found in this blouse.
