Gypsy Odyssey is a blend of two wonderful traditions of design, both in the insane of this item. The Gypsy part comes from the fascinating and complex bead looking pattern here, like something from a Roma caravan. And the Odyssey part is a reference to the great poem of the same name, when a Greek hero braved the high seas to return home. This part of the name is where the Mediterranean and Greek mosaic look comes in, paying homage to an ancient form of art and decoration. It's a wonderful design with so much more behind it than first meets the eye.
