Atacama is one of the most dazzling new collections from Maryan Mehlhorn, with a mark of culture and history to it that is very exciting. Named for the Atacama Desert in South America, this swimsuit is the perfect summation of the Southern portion of the New World. Birds of paradise, big cats and mystical tribal cultures are all present in this swimsuit, with vibrant phoenix feathers, a jaguar pelt and a strappy cuttout arrangement that looks like an exotic jungle garment might. It has an Aztec, Mayan or Incan flavour to it, most likely the latter as the Atacama is where they hung their headdresses. This all gives your swimwear a historical weight that is missing from fashion designs these days and we are glad to see it in Maryan Mahlhorn's new range. This swimsuit has moulded cups, a puch effect and a build in bust shell for the most flattering effect possible in a swimsuit with so much of the material cut out.
