Atacama is one of the most exciting and interesting rnew collections from Maryan Mehlhorn, and one that is full of history and culture. Named for the Atacama Desert is South America, this kaftan captures what many people around the world think of when we imagine the Soutehrn continent of the new world. Exotic wildlife, birds of paradise and tribal cultures with an intense mysticism to them. This kaftan captures all of these, with feathers of a parrot or some other stunning phoenix-like creature, a jaguar pelt print, and a central arrangement that resembles a tribal headdress. It has an Aztec or Mayan feel to it, or more accurately an Inca flavour as the Atacama was their home, and this gives your swimwear the weight of history that so many fashion designs need these days.
